This vase is 8 inches by 4 inches. I glazed it yellow and purple to resprsent the contrasts in my life. The flower keeps the otherwise simple piece interesting. I wish that i had been listening when Mrs. H said that the purple would need a clear finish because this purple turned out very chalky and smeared over the yellow. 

My hand & wheel project is 6 inches tall and 3 inches wide. I made it a pitcher with a flared lip and handle. attached to the side is a 3-D Flower which i coiled out of extra clay. The foot ring is very defined giving it better shape. I dipped the entire thing in purple but painted the attached flower blue to make it stand out even more. This is one of my favorite pieces i've made in ceramics because the eniter project flowed smoothly with not mistakes in footing or glazing!
